Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Field Account Teams

Have Commercial Select account teams typically been part of layoffs? Curious how Cisco has gone about cutting headcount on these teams or if it is unusual?

Yes, field account teams have been LR'd before. Generally speaking they are "safer" than the vast swathe of overlays and pen-pushers that seem to dominate Cisco but they have indeed been laid off before. However, no one is safe at Cisco anymore unless you are a woke or CSR champion.

Here in CEA, I would not recommend going to security architecture. Maybe Collab or competition but not security. Do your homework.

Commercial Select cost of doing business is too high. Expect limited layoffs for AMs and SAs. They will cancel the backfill reqs first but early indications are that there will be cuts to AMs and SAs also. More contraction is going to happen in Commercial. Find a way out is best, either to an architecture like Collab or security or to the competition.

Yes account teams have been impacted in the past. If a region needs to cut an AM and SE they typically will not cut both on the same team. I am not sure we will see cuts this time around.....maybe just ki-l the backfills
