Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

That really pi---s me off

All I want from my manager is for him to have a little understanding that most of us are already overwhelmed and that constantly changing requirements (when it is not justified) exhausts me to the point that I am thinking of accepting a lower pay somewhere else and leaving here. Is what I'm asking for too much? I have to re-scope out work again and I'm frustrated.

Everywhere you are always remember this. EVERYONE HAS A MANAGER. Even POTUS!

Hopefully I will be leaving client service in the fall to start working as custodian @ the local school . I have to wait for the school board to reconvene.
Crazy part is it’s only a few dollars less than what I make after 15 years @ BNYM.

The joy I get of just thinking about dropping my 2 weeks is hopefully enough to get me through the summer

No, I disagree. Most of these managerial bu-t kissing nitwits don't understand, nor do they care.

You're mistaken if you think they don't understand. The fact is they understand but don't care.

If the lower pay is still sustainable for your living expenses while saving money, do it. I took a pay cut and left BNY last year. I can not express how much happier I am and stress free compared to BNY. BNY does not care about me, you or anyone. All they care about is the work done despite unreasonable expectations. Get out if you can.
