Ford is overstaffed and needs a real shake down. This is the real reason for the job cuts. There are so many "loafers" and "slackers".

@tsg+1hOCqtss Goodness shake the sand out of your ears. Ford C-suite “leaked” the info to Bloomberg. In the past the C-suite “leaks” have been reliable. Why would they tell Bloomberg 8000 if the number was 500 ?
They have already staffed up in Mexico, Brazil and India. NA jobs now redundant. People have been warning about this in this board and elsewhere for a year or so.
I mean i know of some jobs goingfrom US to mexico so cut from US can mean job us moved to India, Mexico or some other cheap local
This is some high-stakes Jenga. Don't pull out the wrong blocks or the entire structure will collapse. Don't cut that one guy who carries his team's entire India contingent on his back, maintaining the illusion all these years that India is actually capable of doing the job independently.
The original Bloomberg article that all the news reports seem to be citing say 'bulk' of the cuts in US, not all. Besides it says the details aren't finalized yet.
It states. "UP TO" ... also from some third party "news" source. So anywhere from 1 to 8000. Yeah, no kidding.
Meanwhile in August, the weather is expected to be warm and maybe hot and sunny.
It is in the U.S. Read it :

The news doesn't say all 8K layoffs are in US so this in 1 in 4 number is BS.
Brutal - gonna be a lot of boats, houses and cars for sale in SE Michigan.
