3 o'clock exodus, lol. Haven't seen it, I'm gone at lunch. For the "get your a-s to work or get fired crowd", you can go pound sand. Yes, the company has the right as an employer to demand I work at a specific location / time, and I respect that. What I don't respect is liars pi----g down my back and telling me it's raining. If they said "we're the boss and we say you have to go to the office, because we say so", that'd be fine. If they said "our corrupt political overlords that have our nuts in a box via regulators tell us to do this", I'd appreciate the honesty. What's not fine is telling people that have been WFH for years highly successfully that now they have to go to a building with no peers, direct, manager, or others to collaborate with because "we're better together" when in reality we will just wind up doing what we've been doing for years, collaborating by phone, Skype, etc. I've been dutifully going to the office since RTO went into effect and there has been a demonstrable net negative benefit. I go in, work, and go home and do real work without distractions. I don't collaborate with anyone there, primarily because I'm not authorized to discuss what I do with people that don't have a business need to know, and no one at my assigned location does. I go because I respect my boss and love my job, but RTO is an abject failure because it's a hamfisted (mostly) blanket policy, when it should be entirely up to mid managers. The execs can do what they want, but lies undermine their program and no amount of "because we say so" can resolve that. I honestly had no issue with what these NY clowns were doing since they had been in charge, until the 401k match / bonus change and then RTO. Now they can go F themselves, and so can anyone carrying their water on the lie that is RTO. They can do what they want, but they can't make me believe in something I know with certainty is a pack of lies.
