Bruh I’ve been working here 1.5 years and making bank. I don’t see what’s so bad.

I wish I had worked there— so I could have hated it and had something to contribute here!
Just kidding- I do work there. It’s ‘different’- but actually been pretty decent— 19 decent years. I probably should have left after 10 as I didn’t quite reach my apogee of success— but still pretty good.

I left 19 years ago. I feel so sad and angry for leaving Cisco. Work was so easy at Cisco. I come here on this site to find out current status of Cisco. I hope my old mgr will hire me again. I miss Cisco.

I worked for Cisco 19 years before I got LR'ed. Nice package. After required gap, came back for 19 months as a contractor. Converted to FTE. After another 19 months, Covid hit, took ER. Nice double-dip. It's been over 19 months, but can't wait to come back. Third time would be a charm. I love Cisco!

Post from TheLayoff.com

The question is why would any 'proudly loyal' employee come to 'the layoff' site ?

I left after 19 days, that's right just 19 days of working at Cisco. That place is like a psychiatric institution.

If you're that happy, why are you coming back in here? Surely just get on with your life?

It all depends upon your frame of reference. If you're looking for a company where you can coast for a few years while you raise a child, go to grad school, etc., Cisco is an excellent option.

Of course, you just have to realize that the end will come at some point as your organization, regardless of its usefulness, will get hit with an LR. Your goal would be to get out just before the guaranteed carnage.

I left 19 years in the future, and make double what I will have made now that I work for Weyland Yutani.
