There is some evidence that IBM is moving to a more PIP type of environment. If it’s measurable (sales, billable hours, utilization) IBM is encouraging PIP’s. If IBM is exiting a business (measurable or not measurable) then they tend to offer a severance with the latest offering being 30/90. There is no guarantee IBM will continue to offer these terms as the terms are getting less and less as we move forward. With all of that said, I would say don’t bet against yourself and hope for a severance when there is opportunity being offered. Its always best to move forward and not sideways
