Every scrap of IT is being aligned under India. No one is buying the corporate speak about strength and cohesion. We all know it is to cut costs. Not because this company is unprofitable, it is because the demand for infinite growth eventually means 'profits' have to be sought elsewhere. Namely, US based employee headcounts.
Just as we're entering monsoon season. Didn't we learn anything after 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy?

They are building the org to take in US at some point. Don't kid yourself. US employees have a short shelf live before cloud and offshoring consume everyone.
People should learn how to read. This is just international employees.
That said - Don't bet against the company moving way more work offshore over time.
My department has been using India resources for a decade. They are great to have because our work days end in the evening and we don't have to worry about overnight coverage too as part of a follow the sun model.
We also offload the work no one wants to do to India.
