Control Dir. here, yes, layoffs in Oct. Looking to be in the hundreds, although the number is fluctuating and won’t be nailed down for a bit longer.
October is a month that layoffs have occurred. More so than some other months. I think that is all anyone is saying. Early part of the month.
Most people are surprised the majority of outsourced jobs are not technology. Maybe if they did there would be more of an uproar about the BS skills shortage. Maybe in post doc phd bio medical research, but not introductory finance.
Already employs 43k people in India under L.O. 16k of which are in technology, and is just getting warmed up.
