Layoffs today in Optum Senior Community care - biz dev, some network, a few sales people. Multiple regions.
Just heard these layoffs are due to AI technology rendering these positions obsolete.
Layoffs today here in San Antonio. I work in claims. They laid off 13 people and claim the rest of us are "safe for now".

There are layoffs coming to all components of UHG - the UHC side, the Optum side, the care delivery side over the next 120 days; some have already started in the UHC world but probably 5-10% of total workforce across the board.
if only Whitty acted like this, but its all about the stock price and kissing the Board of Directors' a-s.

Layoff did happen 7/28/22 it is kinda the culture, was hard to see when the stock had just gone thru the roof this year. loss a dozen in my department. But it much quieter this year, I find out as I call to get information and they say they are leaving at end of month.
This occurs every year in August. You could post the exact same statement every week all year and have a 50/50 chance of being right. Unless you post departments and dates, it's just words.
