Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

August's Global Employee Survey

My dilemma: 1) Give honest, unflattering feedback regarding Wells as a whole and possibly negatively impact my manager and my manager's manager, who are both excellent; or, 2) Lie, thus allowing Wells to insist that employees are actually happy.

This is Wells. Nobody expects the survey to be anonymous, nor should anyone expect the results of the survey to be shared or acted upon.

For what it's worth, I'll be honest. I don't care if the survey is anonymous or not.

It'll feel good to give the digital finger to my manager by being honest on the survey, but I already know that nothing will come of it.

Not anonymous, say the right thing (or, wrong thing!) and someone will track you down.

It is not confidential managers are provided metadata including your gender + race. Filter by that Bingo ted in accounting rated leadership as vacant and soulless

It does not matter what you say your answers are not traceable. A third party administers the survey. Unless Rubber Chuc_y owns the survey company?

Just an excuse to say we’re listening even though they’re not and nothing changes.

These surveys are global temperature taking. Nothing specifically will be done to IC or managers. Not much will be changed. So, do what you want. If the summary results are positive, it's just something for WF to add to their press releases or career site.

was honest...so was my team indicating our direct mgr has a LOT to improve on....mgr seemed shocked he was scored so poorly...glad he had the wake up call! Had anything improved overall? Well, IMO Wells Fargo doesn't give a rats tail how we who do all the work mgmt takes credit for and doesn't reward with merit increases...the survey is just more b.s. to check off box.

I’m on a team of 27. Something like 20 submitted comments last go with detailed, specific situations with one person on the team with everything but their name. Toxic person who is not in management that people had repeatedly escalated situations to management with no result.

Toxic person got a promotion that year and continued to behave like a T Rex. Four people have now left the team sharing information just like what was in the survey. Nothing else has happened.

Taught the whole team - doesn’t matter what’s going on, what you tell management, they are just not interested in fixing any problems - even when they are polluting an entire team.

Be brutally honest on systemic overall things -- tools, inefficient processes, etc.

Careful on what you say about your current leadership. I would bet money they could figure out who answers certainly based on comments, but even coded answers.

I'm tempted to slam our current leadership. But even though they say it is anonymous, I wouldn't count on it.

I am honest in the surveys, and then the results always seem to indicate everyone is happy. In speaking with co-workers, they are honest as well, but somehow magically when results are compiled, the biggest issues are things like we don't have the right tools to get the job done, or we don't have what we need to be inefficient.

They track the responses from your IP and/or login and then determine the potential whistleblowers, the potential employee who will sue, the whiners, the toxics and the ones who puts in the best scores knowing they are being tracked.

I never respond to these. I'm surprised anyone does.

Be honest, but don't over-invest... your response will be coded and analyzed alongside others. Eloquence doesn't buy any extra influence. But it does help when everyone gives their 2 cents.

It not like anything matters other than giving the elite a platform. Was there a shitshow question? If not then who cares?

They don’t care what you say, so use it as an opportunity to vent if you want.

Let them have it...don't sugar coat it, then when they finally decide to share the result after the long dragging of their feet, and they tell you how happy employees are working within the ho-e that is WFB, you will know once again know that you are working for lying S-B's.

If it's written the way they usually are, no matter what feedback you provide, it will not blame upper management.
