Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

We've lost so many good people

All the smart and technical folks are either long gone or are actively working on their exit strategy. Nike used to be the place that attracted the best but that's no longer the case. I've been here a long time and watching the quality of the workforce deteriorate due to the management neglect and abuse has been disheartening. If I wasn't so close to retirement, I'd be long gone as well.

Showhorses outnumber the workhorses 4:1. Everyone wants input on what to paint the carriage, but no one wants to pull it.

Nike is talentless at the moment…just have a look at the kit worn by the worlds best athletes last week….they look like a preschooler fitted them. What a disaster.

The hoops that HR has made people jump through for a promotion is nothing short of exhausting. I had a casual interview with another company and got offered a higher role within the same week. Who would want to put up with this?
