Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

This was foreseen

Verizon pi---d off all their employees, laid them off. They gave them no incentive to keep verizon service. Tmobile is cheaper even with a verizon discount and their service is faster. Verizon also doesnt give their employees customer service. They are treated like trash and then they wonder why tmobile ia doing well? Employee satisfaction and word of mouth from former employess goes a long way. This will never turn around until they treat their employees like humans.

Completely agree. Within the 1st week after Verizon laid me off out of the blue, I switched my phone and all of my families over to AT&T and have never looked back.

I've also told all of my extended and close friends how horrible, incompetent and demoralizing management treats employees and commonly refer to it as a never ending dumpster fire! Most toxic environment I've ever experienced in Corporate America by far.

It's called being promoted to customer. I'm down to 1 device and I pay thru the nose.

If you don't have the employee discount after moving plans you need to reach out to the team that handles it. It's definitely still a thing. I'm in Play More with one line it's 45 a month.

Employee discount? What employee discount is that? Have not seen an employee discount since moving to an unlimited plan.

You're not wrong. I left VZ a couple years ago after one of the many rounds of buyouts. I haven't flipped to another wireless service yet, but have thought about it often. Customer service sadly seems nonexistant.

If they were smart theyd give their employees free service for life thats better advertising than the millions upon millions they spend on it.

Agree. Verizon is cheaper with our employee discount. However, it’s going to be a race to the bottom.

I switched to Comcast. For half the price. Even with my employee discount. And got 3 free phones. No activation fee. Vz can do better. They let Comcast take all our customers.

TMO is not cheaper with the employee discount. I understand the sentiment, but that is simply not true.
