Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Still can’t admit the truth

So… clearly the bank is having trouble admitting the truth to employees regarding the results of the flexibility survey. They can kiss my a-s when they want me to enter volunteer hours or take any other surveys. If they think we’ve forgotten, they’re mistaken. We still see all the other companies offering flexibility- and we’re still dealing with excessive COVID cases on the daily. I’m not comfortable going into the office- I’m not asking for permission- I’ve had enough- they couldn’t care less that it’s obvious they have a lack of transparency and disrespect for us at this point.

This company is a fuhking joke. It really bothers me when this fake azz company put bullshlit on flagshlit everyday. They continuously show group office pictures of employees happy to be back in this shlithole. This company is run by a bunch of fuhking phony azz mfers that don't care about your health . It is sickening to see that blockhead CEO with his fake azz smile on there everyday.

Leaked Bank of America Memo: “We Hope” Conditions for American Workers Will Get Worse
The financial behemoth privately fears that regular people have too much leverage.
Ken Klippenstein, Jon Schwarz

A Bank of America executive stated that “we hope” working Americans will lose leverage in the labor market in a recent private memo obtained by The Intercept. Making predictions for clients about the U.S. economy over the next several years, the memo also noted that changes in the percentage of Americans seeking jobs “should help push up the unemployment rate.”

The memo, a “Mid-year review” from June 17, was written by Ethan Harris, the head of global economics research for the corporation’s investment banking arm, Bank of America Securities. Its specific aspiration: “By the end of next year, we hope the ratio of job openings to unemployed is down to the more normal highs of the last business cycle.”
The memo therefore tells us what we suspected all along: The most powerful economic actors in the U.S. — entities like Bank of America and its clients — do not like working people to have power. But it’s nice to have it in their own words. Harris, the author, was not available for comment.

Person next to me was coughing… said he tested and was negative but his doctor said they suspect king COVID. A peer asked if he was allowed to WFH since he’s coughing and he said he was told if he didnt have COVID, he would need to use sick time if he couldn’t work in office, so he is in the office… coughing! People aren’t going to burn all their sick time if they can function. This stupid approach is going to be very interesting with all the long COVID lung issues and chronic coughs that folks have already started experiencing.

I have told you people repeatedly said that this bank doesn't care about your health. I have witnessed several employees come down with covid and they were told not to mention their diagnosis to anyone in their office. I can't believe this bank would endanger our lives and our immediate families health for their benefit. The leadership of this company is horrible and heartless . I hope all them mfers from the CEO down get covid and the monkey pox . Sometimes when you do bad shlit to people, it will come back at your a-s . I call that Karma and that the shlit is real.

I've refused to go in and pretty much everyone else on the team, across different cities, who've gone it and have gotten covid. All were supposedly vaccinated.

Now, they didn't die, but who wants to risk ending up with long covid when we can obviously do our jobs and make record-breaking profits and 33% pay increase for our CEO -- while working from home.

Stupid of them to draw such a hard line in the sand.

It’s so bad. People are out with covid all over the place and SOACC is saying nothing to the people sitting on top of each other. They don’t care if they put someone out for 10 days for covid as long as bodies are in the buildings.
