Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I think I was a victim of this in a way. I applied for a job and was told by someone in that department who would get the position. I just took it as speculation although the person seemed sure. The person I was told would be hired was in fact hired for the job. I found out later that it was somewhat general knowledge in that department that this particular person would get the job. I have also had other interviews where friends of the manager were hired. I can't prove that the hired people had the job in the bag because of their connections but it's very coincidental.

I am guessing this happens quite a bit at Wells. I have always been of the mind that you have to know someone with hiring authority to move around internally at Wells.

Yes, this company is a disaster. No other bank has as much negative publicity and awful management. There is a culture of senior managers caring more about their schmoozing than actually leading, and it creates a political environment that feeds into this nonsense. I sit on the floor with HR in Charlotte and they are getting tons of reports about people participating in these fake interviews. How likely is it that they'll respond appropriately and take accountability? Nah, it'll just be explained away by some PR bull and the executives will cash their parachutes and leave.

I wouldn't every thing you read in the news. Remember the media is slanted and always embellishes facts to fit their narrative.

This is why all the WIM agile leaders like Tony and Sean are jumping ship, yet still asking to follow their stupid effing carport model or whatever.

@mkz+1hbw6S28 As someone else said here, Wells is the low hanging fruit in the financial markets. Already guilty, so pile on and make yourself a name amongst the politicians. Whether true or not, make yourself a name. I can think of one lizard who is very famous.

What's amazing is that WFC is the only one getting called out on most of this stuff. A lot of banks and companies in general are doing the exact same stuff. Those other companies are thinking thank God and try to fix their issues quietly. Everything from fake accounts to bogus interviews.

The practice impacted everyone not just colored people.

Sadly I have to accept that I am morally bankrupt because I will keep working here for the good paycheck.

The lizard queens spawn has dropped. Can always spot them because they spew tons of hate rhetoric, know little about the internal workings of the company and massively overuse the up/down vote system here.

The problem is the vast majority of people who work here are not the reason for these scandals. It’s always some corrupt or inept segment of management that encourages or ignores the behavior that leads to the scandals.

The rank and file who actually keep this company functioning are collateral damage to the management incompetence or ignorance. So yeah, we’re tired of working for a company always in negative headlines but rarely play any part in them. Looking to leave? Yes. Quit? Not yet.

Aren't you tired of working for an organization that somehow always is under scrutiny, investigation, fines, and is failing
