This may sound harsh but things should always be viewed from a more positive side. Layoff gave me a much needed kick to get out of there and look for something better. I think many can relate to this?
If I hadn't gotten laid off, I probably would still be a long term sufferer here, unnecessarily fearing the start from the scratch somewhere else.
I was laid off by Optum years ago when their IT Department came under India leadership. BEST thing that ever happened to me! Got a better job, higher pay, 100% better culture. India leadership treated Americans terribly and HR refused to do anything about it. So glad that I'm out of cr-p ho-e
