Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Saw my first Clover Device in the wild today

...and I have one question: Why is it such a security nightmare? It shows the PIN Pad real HUGE and plain as day, so everyone and their brother can see the PIN number being punched in.

Only a small matter to mug the unfortunate after they leave and not have to worry about getting the wrong PIN code as you empty the account at the nearest ATMs.

Clover is the league leader! Sorry your weak comment can’t undue it’s prowess, move on.

The over zealous pump up on Clover is also meant to fill in the loss of overall acquiring volumes from the BofA jo--t venture shift last year. It's fully explainable, but a year over year chart shows a gap...and we don't like any bar chart with a gap.

Most debit cards are limited to $1,000 a day in ATM withdrawals. I sincerely hope losing a thousand bucks after getting mugged doesn't leave your account empty.

The numbers are large so that senior citizens and people with disabilities can use them. Lots of businesses around me use Clover. I ask all of them about it and what they think. The complaints that I hear are related to being pressured to buy add-ons and how high the fees are for each add-on. They say that they are tired of hearing about new features and new fees.

Frank latched on to Clover because he could hold one in his hands and say “This is what we make.” He never grasped that the real Fiserv product is invisible: transactions traveling in the air or on buried data lines that arrive in a Data Center to get processed by invisible code. He couldn’t touch and feel that so he didn’t know how to sell it.

Local Pizza parlor had it over a year replaced it for several of the reasons here. A POS POS system two meanings :-)

funny, I saw one the other day in the wild. The merchant was cursing under his breath about it not working and how much he hated is as he whacked it over and over in frustration trying to get it to take a payment.
