As the recession grows worse, ATT (like other companies are already doing) will have to reduce spending and cut costs. And with Stankey at the helm, he lies to streamline.

Not at all it seems.
No work here, but they offered me ticket 3 hours away.
OK. $150 worth of gas there, the same back. V10 6MPG truck.
And it was no accessed as the business was closed and trouble was inside.

Recession usually means job cuts. And cuts to expenses. T has a good share of the market including government contracts. T will fare ok. But your job is in the line.

T has a boatload of cash, we can outlast any recession. We will raise prices as needed to weather any storm.

I could see a scenario where T sells off the network (internet of things) separate from mobility and T then exists solely as a mobility company. Will never happen, though, cuz there’s too much money being made! I believe T will be in good shape if it can ever get it’s debt reduced! Will be more difficult to achieve as we enter into recessionary times and gas being at exorbitant levels!

Bezos will buy at&t, convert cell customers onto the T Mobile Network buying wholesale minutes, transfer LL customers into cell customers, then use the old now vacant switchrooms and convert into warehouse space and add his own fiber, internet service.
Can't wait.

Now that DIRECTV and WARNERMEDIA are gone, we are in great shape. The first priority for every American is paying the Cell Phone bill. They will drop Netflix, HULU, cable. They will skip the mortgage, rent, electric, water and car payment. They will get groceries at the dollar store. But they will always pay the Cell Phone bill. Just don’t make the customers mad, and we’ll have plenty of cash for payroll and ot (and retirees).

I don't believe it will have a major impact. T brings in a lot of cash every month, they may need to increase their rates. T is a real life cash cow, not too much can stand in T's way.

The same way it will effect every other company: They will need to reduce expenses. And we know what that could mean for us .

So, as always, make sure your emergency funds are in place and pay of any debt you may have. Keep your own expenses low.

Fuel for the company fleet is now costing approx. $1.5M or more per week now with increased gas prices. That's over $75M per year. That's just one example of increased operating costs...how do you think it affects ATT?

It costs a LOT more every time the Stink, Ratty and Whitacre hop on to the corporate jet for another lunch on their Corp Amex!
