He waited so long to give out COLA raises that now the recession hit and he can get out of doing them at all. And if people do manage to find jobs elsewhere he won’t have to pay them their commission when the hardware actually ships a year from now.

These weren't COLA raises. Don't even kid yourself about that one. A) cisco is not a union shop so that isn't going to happen. B) nothing cisco does is to benefit employees other than giving a a very very small few a platform to show how mentally deranged they are. Sorry, coming out on company meeting as a cross dresser is entirely out of line as is bringing on someone from the current incompetent biden admin to talk and say it isn't political. Right....
Those were not raises. It was a calculated move to save $, shut up the lower level minions, sc--w over those long timers at GR12 and to move people higher in the MRR to shut them up and to be able to say you are getting paid fairly now. BS about giving stock to the other grade or using the BS statement that they have been taken care of over the years. These id--ts are being rewarded multiple millions while those that actually have worked hard to build this company over the last 20+ years get royally shafted. Short sighted dregs also caused a 5% removal of the bonuses many years ago as well because of the lower grade SJC types.Those type have now cost others 12+% of their bonuses over the years. f you very much.
