Relationshi(t) Equity from McElliefresh (email dated 6/16/22)

Guess its time to head back into the office boys!

In the office 3-5 times a week for office employees, 1-3 days for flex, and 1 day a month for virtual.

I can't wait for the posts reporting that there isn't enough office space (cubes or desks) to accommodate everybody coming back into the office.

If we all stick together and defy this order, what can they do? I agree, let's call their bluff.

Relationship equity sounds like a new buzz phrase some MBA educated consultant came up with to sell their services to big Corporate America. I sure don't miss working for AT&T.

This is too funny, another marketing stunt failure from the start. Similar to all the big talk about turning the company brand image around. We are no where near a hip and customer focus band no matter how many millions spend on messaging, facts don't lie.

Get people back both office, as if relationship equity is something of measurable value. This is so awesome, but no one will define how to measure the equity. This is what happens when executives trying to BS engineers.

For those a-s kissers and busy bodies "networking" with executives in the office, they should be fired for not doing real work. This will give a huge bump on productivity.

I’m labeled a TW even though I’m in a hub. No one from my team or that I would interact with is in my assigned location. I don’t have a desk to go to so it would be drop in. I really don’t see the point. Just so I can sit at some desk for 1 day and be less efficient working from a small laptop screen? I mean if that’s what they want me to do.

yes, vetted through Stank. He knows more about useless Flex status than anyone.

I'm sure that McElfresh and Legg had their emails vetted by Stankey prior to distribution. No way Stankey would blindly trust them without his oversight.

Not ever going back. Let them get rid of us all. Stinky is a genius he will figure it out. What jerks.

Haven't seen that email. I will deal with it when I get it. A voluntary offer would be nice later this year.

Legg's email said "I ask people" and listed a few locations. It sounds like the Fluffy and Legg email were drawn up from the same template.

If no one returns to the office what can they do? I say let's call their bluff.

They can hire someone who will. And then terminate the others for insubordination. That won't qualify them for UI, either.

another communication masterpiece coming from the great executives at AT&T.
They will never learn and will never change, but excel at taking moral to a lower level , every time.

Our group goes in one day a week (so far). The day is comparable to a school field trip. Very little productivity gets done due to all the collaboration going on. Being hourly managers with zero overtime approved it just allows the work to backup. Upper leadership knows what they are doing so just enjoy the ride.

So lemme get this straight. "Relationship equity" - created by working from an office - is the fuel that drives results. But we have had record results during the time that we haven't had any of this fuel. He literally says both of those things - one after the other - with a straight face?

Legg sent a similar email today, with the same “relationship equity” line.

Doesn't sound too bad. 3 days in the office for office types, 1 day a week for flex types, and 1 day a month for virtual. Very doable if you ask me.

This is going to get ugly. I won't go back to the office, it just doesn't make sense. Maybe this is their way of implementing headcount rationalization.

yea, love the letter: we know it's painful on you and you've successfully been working from home but we don't care. We are an old-school company that does not care about inflicting needless pain on our employees. Typical AT&T management style in the Stankey Era.

Including two short trips to Dallas for team meetings I have been in the office less than 10 days since probably 2010.
