Tired of “passion” in meetings

The only thing that we should be passionate about is delivering a product. I am tired of people being “passionate” about ideas that are not working. We should investigate why an idea isn’t working, but we should not have people so “passionate” about stuff that we don’t drop something. I’m also tired of people using “data-driven” to request data that does not actually matter in saying that something doesn’t work. I mostly like my group, but this stuff wastes too much time.

The problem is management.

Competent technical managers should cut through the BS and elevate ideas that actually work.

Intel is so weak in the management layer due to all of the perverse incentives / nepotism / etc

I am so tired of those people who only show passions in meetings but do not do anything useful yet still get promoted. Intel still has no hope if dominate by those people, not appreciate people who are tech-driven and do the real work.
