Internship --- Does Wells Fargo offer Internships for IT Security and Data and Analytics?

I am a sophmore in college and I am looking for an internship in IT and banking. I am aware this is a layoff forum but I noticed that the scope of topics you cover here goes beyond layoffs hence my inquiry here. I'd need this for June to September 2023, so I have about a year to prep.

I am also aware that the bank has some issues and some people are not happy (many posts here) but my thinking is that I'd benefit if I can get an internship and experience/credit that go with it.

I am also trying to see if Chase or Bank of America would be an option, it does not look good.

I love all the responses! Yes decades ago these jobs went to college grads.

Now they go to Hyderabad Mumbai and Delhi

Yes they do. I have a college student who applied for one in that arena and didn’t even get an interview and I work for Wells. My guess is he does not fit the diversity profiles they are looking for. He did hear from other large companies and got a great internship.

My advise is start looking at linked in starting in September. Many of the larger companies have interns in place by November for the next summer.

I would encourage you to seek an internship in tech at a big bank. You will learn first hand what its like to be marginalized and have your job outsourced overseas.

Yes, there are internships in security.

One of the platform management teams announced interns recently. There wasn't much diversity judging from the blurbs about them.

OP - Check out this page - they start recruiting for the summer in the fall so don’t wait too long if interested. Look up interns on LinkedIn too - there are a lot of current interns posting their experience there. Same for the recruiters - find them on LinkedIn.
