Red-badges are typically worked until the end of a quarter and not re-newed. Some of them get more of a head's up than others, depending on the manager and if he cares about his people. If a project is ending and there's no mass LR coming, they'll tend to tell the red-badges to start looking early. It actually saves Cisco money if the red-badge quits early if the project is done and there's not much work for them to do until the end of the quarter.

If management is planning a LR that impacts that team, then the leadership won't tell the manager/project manager so they don't tell the red-badges and then they get cut at the end of the quarter and a few weeks later the company has the earnings call where the LR is announced and managers are notifying employees the next day.

Agree about more cuts end of July. Certainly in U.K. market. All the signs are there.

No. Some muppet wrote here that he saw a mail from his colleague in IT and that's all the evidence y'all need? Unbelievable. There are no layoffs FFS. Not just yet anyway. Just a matter of time, but right now that's business as usual.

red badges can be let go anytime without notification - they are temporary after all. my team cut 2 last week and their work was spread over the remaining red and blue badges.
but more cuts are on the way at the end of July and this time blue badges will be impacted. I wanna be cut this time, the workload is getting heavier after each LR.

From my understanding, it was a handful of red badgers in IT that got axed

How will Cisco react after the new India and Russia trade partnership? Put up time.

Usually we'd know more by now, which is why I'm skeptical. I'm not in IT, though, so I could be wrong.
