Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

No commission for renewals team?

Is it true what was commented on renewal sales not being granted commission in June? Not that they deserve it, since partners do it all. But it speaks volumes on how they run the business if true. Same goes with GSSO gold rush if true.

The renewals teams are knuckleheads as are the BDMs and their managers. No one help to task on sales or given real numbers. Of course reward them and their teams for this ineptness. It has been going on years and still being managed by those who have no business in that position in the first place.

Partners may transact the business (and its because we've created that model and they have gotten used to the revenue and points on the deals) but the Account Teams are who own the relationships w/the customer. The renewals team is a concept that MM has put in place that just adds another paper pushing layer model.
