"In other words, a VC firm."
You mean PE, Private Equity. VC is Venture Capital. They fund startups. PE buys old cows and milks them dry. It would take about three PE firms to take on Cisco. They would then sell off a good part of the company, layoff most of the staff and milk the remainder. However, I doubt that there are many PE firms that want to take on the mess that is Cisco.
First and foremost, those who've been at Cisco for over 20 years need to go.
I left well before the 20 year mark and I can honestly say they need to get rid of almost everyone with 20 years and under as well. Most of you are extremely poor at what you do and the idea that you spend 80 hours a week breaking things so more time is wasted trying to fix them isn’t actually a “win.” The problem is no one with a clue would choose to work there so you’d never be able to backfill the staffing so you’ll simply have to trundle along.
It should be acquired by ANY company asap so the company can be normal and become a tech company, not a political company filled with people who've been at Cisco for over 20 years.

Just for patents and then layoff everyone
HP wants to buy Cisco.
I hear Ubiquiti is going to buy CSCO
Even Musk isn't crazy enough to drop money into a sinking ship. I would definitely stick around if he could push out the current ELT and the granola eating board. I have zero use for chuck or any of the leadership down to the vp/SVP level. Also, more than half of the Sr Directors need to be pushed out as well. Nothing but cronies there as well as mainly incompetent "yes" men AND women.
OP you're a morron to actually write a post about this nonsense
It’s just webex not the entire company.
Mark Zuck-a-Buck is going to buy Thithco Thythtems.
I’ve seen SpaceX gear in factories other than Juniper.
SpaceX is a pure Juniper shop, IT director hates us. Musk is not going to happen.
For all its faults, Cisco is still a $50billion a year company. However it has a falling share price which could make it attractive to a certain type of buyer. The type of buyer with the cojones to ditch the worst bits (old Cisco) and keep the good bits (new Meraki). In other words, a VC firm.
That is true! Elon Musk is buying...
