Weak. You should have left for greener pastures instead of groveling to the big red kingdom.
I am sorry to hear this. I was on a Rif list back in Feb and was the hardest 30 days of my work life. Found another role with the company, thankfully. Thoughts with all impacted.
Always be prepared to be laid off. Company could care less about you. That means have an emergency fund, no debt except a modest mortgage or no mortgage and live within your means.
I got my package last October and off books end of year instead of retiring a month later. Thanks for the 2022 surprise. That being said the constant hiring of inexperienced staff and the RIF cycles are he-l on the staff that remains.
If you can't find another similarly paying job in a reasonable amount of time, its a bad, bad deal to get laid off for many people.
Not everyone is celebratory over rif's, this is people's lives with families to feed in an economy that is not doing too well. For those of you who are then great but some people are devastated by this.
I believe the max is 35 weeks.
Thanks. So it’s a standard two weeks per year? Is there a minimum or maximum number of years you have worked? Thanks again.
Are you saying you have worked 20 years so that means you got 40 weeks of pay? If so that’s awesome. :)
Standard 2 weeks per year. If you have over 20 years and were going to retire this year anyways it a win-win!
You lucky sons of g-ns.
I’m sorry about your news. If you don’t mind me asking? Could you tell us what the payoff consists of? Is it 2 weeks per year + unused vacations? Thanks and good luck!
Any idea how many?
Goodbye and good riddance. Underserving Executive Directors got promoted to VP after RIF-ing their workforce. Special place in HE-L for them!
Good Luck to those that remain, you are gonna need it.
Yes and thank god. I wanted my payoff and now I have it. Retirement here I come! Bub Bye Verlieson.
