Micromanagement in Short Hills

It wasn't bad enough that we were shuttled in quickly to the waste of money that was the temp site in Berkeley, then forced to have alternating days each week. Now we are being forced I do a three week rotation sharing the cube with two others. Ok this isn't that bad considering this is yet another tempt site waiting for "The Park" to be finished, but the forcefulness of the executives is down right insulting.

Say for example you need to take a day off on a day where you are supposed to be in the office. You have to coordinate with the other people that share your desk to try and get them to switch days or cover just so your seat is never empty. There are no guarantees to this idea. If you can't get someone to cover your desk, your team gets dinged by executive management. We were even told that if we have a Dr appointment to only schedule those for days you will be remote. This is to ridiculous.

They want seats filled to have a presence, but then layoff 300+ associates, what a crock of sh--e.

I've heard it's a huge incompetent mess in NJ having to reserve cubes, especially for the managers. Get your act together Frank - this is not how a company ought to be run.

Only some groups are doing the 3 week rotation(red white and blue lables on cubes - lol). Others are doing 2 week. I wonder how they decided

And you have a minimum level of occupancy to maintain for the tax break that lead to the NJ office. They need those swipes to prove occupancy.

We're focused much more on badge reports than quality...I guess that's a version of "watch the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves"...except it's not working...management by decree shouldn't be confused with strategy.

I have nothing to say other than this is super fu---d up. Why are they doing this? They're treated salaries office workers like they're working shifts in a kitchen or something. Gotta make sure you have coverage so we can keep that seat warm! @FISVProud!
