Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Low morale no longer interest anyone

People around me worry every day about who might become the next target. Logically, productivity is lower than ever. It used to be unthinkable for managers to look indifferently at declining morale. So how come they don't care at all about it now?

When people are walking up and down the hallways asking about layoffs, that's a huge sign. And I've been witnessing it myself. Even from people that you'd think as being safe.

This isn't the sign of a healthy work environment.

Difficult to work for a company that's circling the drain. As one RIF, re-org cycle completes, another is sure to start. Low pay and bonuses don't help.

They don't care cause they are preoccupied worrying about their own jobs. They're much bigger targets with their inflated salaries.

Seeing the same thing, too much uncertainty that ends up being very distracting - need to know when it is wrapped up, at least for the time being.
