Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

The criteria have dropped drastically

I have no doubt that Fiserv would be very happy to attract and retain talented people who will do a lot of work, but what is it doing to attract them? Nothing.

I wouldn’t like to offend anyone, but most new hires don’t have or have very poor competencies or skills. I think you'll agree that the “most talented” among the new hires the company now employs wouldn’t have come into consideration for a job here at all just a few years ago?

Fiserv had top talent and has let them go, I feel for the few remaining. It takes 2-3 years to become proficient. Our clients have more experience than those they are calling for support how frustrating can that be for them.

Responding to post below...it is a more stringent criteria than you think given space in Short Hills bldg....

Criteria:

Can a body fit into a seat in New Jersey?

[No additional criteria needs to be considered]

If one is hired for the help desk to assist with ATMs, you would think they could tell the difference between an elbow and a pinpad.

Especially when other companies are offering better pay, better benefits, better work environment and WFO. Fiserv isn't going to attract top tier talent.
