Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

There are many other names for layoffs here...

I don't think there are many companies that are better than Cisco at this kind of manipulation, that is getting rid of people without calling it a layoff. For example - talent redistribution. Also, putting so much pressure on an employee that he or she leaves on their own.

I was thinking it was only me being targeted by the new leader. Kept getting different tasks and things pile up. Criticize my grade. Changing his/her promise ... etc.
I guess there maybe something under going to get rid of the old and get the young .
I really hope another ER can happen, I will more than happily accept it.

Cisco is expert at having older workers themselves off. First, assign them to the most difficult tasks and projects. Second, if they fail whack their IPF. Or, if they succeed find fault in how they got the job done (not being "inclusive" enough, selectively choosing personnel for 360 input, many creative ways to negate success). Either way, whack their IPF. Make snide comments about age being careful not to direct to anyone personally. Do this for a year and most pull their own plug.

Anything that HR can avoid the unemployment payouts, the execs pocket those savings/earnings.

Time to Unionize!
