Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Yes

Yes no one is faulting that they want to get things in print to present but no one even knows what we or comany were or are asking for .I really think that even before being presented official things to vote on we needed to have input and time to take in what were are negotiating or voting on .The last extension it was basicly here it is we think its good vote yes or no but we think you should vote yes years later we get tye book its like wow

The biggest problem is working so many Saturdays that should definitely be addressed. Along with probably hiring some new people . The average employee has like 25 years and about 50 years old. Cola for years during the contract.

For years the inside forces have been monitored all day, every day during their shifts while the outside forces came and went as they pleased (until GPS tracking began)...I don't remember the field techs ever standing up for the inside forces on that issue.

Now that the inside forces seem to be the beneficiaries of a change it's now "what about me ??" from the field.

Ha ha if grammar was a requirement, but point is made!! There never has been any discussion or canvassing of what field techs were most interested in fighting for .Its just been non stop crying from the office side about work from home .I get it but unfortunately field guys can not work from home in fact they are outside in all weather. They could discuss home garaging to save a few bucks but we know the company isnt doing what their doing to save the associates money .So what are the terms most important to everyone in field

All the typos aside, I couldn’t agree more, specially with this part:

I really think that even before being presented official things to vote on we needed to have input and time to take in what were are negotiating or voting on

Do you work for VZ? If so, we need more stringent screening during the hiring process.
