Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Nobody should be surprised by the latest reports

If you didn't realize by now that the bank treats employees like an expense instead of an investment, then it's on you. If you're an expense, then they'll do anything in their power to minimize that expense. Benefit cuts, lack of bonuses, overworking people, getting people to quit through bullying to save on severance, and things like that all apply. This is just business as usual.

plenty of H1 visa workers to replace us

We have limited amount of positions, about 200,000 financial analysts, and 50,000 math and quant analysts.

The number of available jobs we have in the country is not unlimited. News outlets left that out.

They don't need to treat us nice when workers and students from 2 of the largest countries in the world are waiting for us to be fired.
