People posting and reading on this site are scared they may be laid off becoz they know they are slackers and loafers

Ok people who start downvoting or trashing me, FYI I left ford and working for a Tier 1 becoz I didn’t want to loose my skills while being narrowed in @ FMC’s incompetent working culture.

Yes the old b..g..rs cannot upskill and just coasting for retirement. The don’t want to take voluntary retirement wherein they can make a spot for a youngster. All you old ones just leave with voluntary offer.

100% true, slackers just blaming the transition to BEV's and software defined vehicle because they didn't upskill through the years and just coatsted. They are starting to realize they don't offer much and will struggle finding a good paying job because the market has left them in the dust.

I'm going to pretend that you mean well (in some weird way) and are not just a troll. The reason people are worried is because the cuts are not logical, they are strategic.
It doesn't matter how hard you work or how good you are. Those making the decisions base those decisions on different factors.

English is just another language. It doesn’t define your attitude or ethics or skills. The OP was talking about the people who lack skills. He is smart enough to move out. Some people are still hanging around only to be tapped. The people who lack skills will be culled. In fact, I want to see a lean, efficient and competent FMC. When startups are making cars think about what FMC can do .

The original post is why Ford needs to tell suppliers to kick rocks, and start making their own parts again. Henry would roll in his grave to see how Ford has outsourced so much manufacturing and became a final assembly company. His vision was raw materials in one end, new cars out the other.

His heirs have ruined his company. And little Billy is putting the final nail in the coffin.

I'm worried since I'm not in a demographic that the woke contingent considers acceptable, but rather in the specific one they've deemed are all "bad people that should be punished" for the circumstances of our birth rather than who we are.

That was a stupid post. You can't just generalize a whole company and people. I have moved around at Ford and each position (three) is very different with different skill sets required. That is what I like about Ford is the ability to move around within the company. Other companies don't offer the opportunity to move around internally as much.

Now, there are times when it is slow, and I have worked really hard at my acting skill sets for my One on Ones. (LOL) There are plenty of departments at Ford to develop wide range of skill sets.
