There is a voluntary RIF available for anyone who wants to take it. It's called the door. All you have to do is leave.

This is hilarious to me. They just had a cut 5 months ago because OPOO was going to be so amazing. They rushed it and now they are seeing…. It failed. I’ve NEVER seen verizon make d-mb a-s moves like this before.

Now… more people impacted and the people that WANT to leave… get to stay. What kind of sense does that make? Offer voluntary separation- you’ll lose people who want to leave. Win/win now you are losing people who are LOYAL to a fault.

Also how much of the sh---y leadership gets to stay? People with multiple HR issues…. Leaders with the LOWEST VOE results…. Come on verizon… WAKE UP!!

Yeah, Verizon once had great leaders with real business sense that knew how to drive results and INSPIRE people to help grow the company. Where are the likes of John Stratton, Marni Walden, Roger Ta-g? They were smart enough to go because they saw what was coming. Stratton should have been named CEO when McAdam retired and everybody knows it. When the Vestberg decision was announced there was a collective groan throughout the whole company and people stopped and said, "what??? Are you kidding us??? What about Stratton and what he poured into the company." I got out then because I saw it coming to. Best of luck, folks. Most of you are better than your current leaders there deserve.

Hans Vestberg at the Baskin Ridge HQ, LOL, more like Hans Gruber doing a corporate hit job at the Nakatomia Plaza on Christmas Eve. This guy is PATHETIC and so is every loser that installed him as CEO years ago. It was like putting the Hamburgler in charge of the meat loaded grill at McDonald's. WHAT A JOKE!

It's so depressing that cuts like this happen all the time and nobody cares any more. The management does not even report events like this to the states. Where is the WARN notice for today's cut? How about the cuts that took place in July. It's all sheer managment arrogance now. And who's here to protect the worker? Nobody...

Why cannot hr ask for volunteers? I know so many climbing the walls to leave waiting for a RIF, and they didn't get it. Meanwhile good employees who are loyal to a fault were let go. Now morale is down and those who wanted a RIF are going to be less productive.

Hans Vestberg is a thief and a poor person to run this company. Sorry for the layoff. You will be better off elsewhere though

Good luck to all laid off. The grass is indeed much greener once you leave so do not sweat it. It'll be frustrating a bit untl you find something but I doubt you'll be as stressed as you are currently while at VCG. I left in 2022 just before Covid hit and I've been growing in my current company - it's amazing, the busness is good and we have great mentors. I am sure you'll be much better off once you leave this place. Good luck!
