How do they notify employees that they are laid off? Meetings 1:1 or in some other way?

Bottom line...
Manager cannot say if you're on 'the list' or not before the date.
On the date, you're supposed to be notified, either in person or via phone call, one on one. Sometimes either HR or the Director is on as well.
If you don't get called that day, then they are basically done with notifications, which typically all happen before noon.
They had me fly up for the vz 5k and told me at the finish line to find my own way home.

At this point cats out of the bag. Just ask your manager.
You usually get notified with a singing telegram
Good grief…maybe a phone call or calendar invite to get on our wonderful waste of an investment blue jeans.
They certainly aren’t sending a letter or getting in a car and driving if you are more than a few miles away. Smh
