The way things went the second quarter particularly in Consumer, things are bad.

Wall St expected 160k adds, but VZ produced 12k.

VCG lost 200k and VBG added 200K, but cost went way up. Look at the new travel policy.

EVP/SVP approval required.

No one is traveling if you are not carrying a quota.

BJN meetings will still be a thing.

5G BI and Home adoption rate is not fast enough.

And it is inconsistent.

We continue to play margin games while TMo is giving everything away eating market share.

I and we need to stop spending.

It will be a rough Q3 and Q1.

Confirmed layoffs, we do not know how many have been lad off but cuts are in hundreds. Walmart had corporate IT layoffs yesterday, 200 people were laid off and it was all over the news. What about Verizon layoffs? Silence, right, as always.

leaders who still have jobs tomorrow
just the stress of constantly worrying about job security here is not good for mental health
and big v is still making a profit, just not as much

saw an article just two days ago about how they are paying for some mural in a city
executives constantly posting their wealth and vacations on instagram the same week they fire thousands
i am glad i was just a year from retirement anyway

I wish leaders would be smarter and run a leaner ship during the good times so that we aren't being put out on the street during a recession. While I figure out how to feed my kids, I bet they'll be back on a hiring speed just a few months after our last day. It happens every damn time. They end up with more staff size months after the RIF.

Oh bother. It has been an interesting 11 years.

Sad day. A lot of positions are being let go. Sr. Analysts in many fields. Engineer III specialists being let go. They have 30 days to work with HR to find another placement for them. But there is going to be another wave of layoffs so I highly doubt HR will be of any help.
