Our products are over priced and poor quality.

Our cob s a repeat dufus.

Our ceo is a posing knob.

FORD is not going to make the electric car iPhone prototype.

We will be middle of the pack at best.

People don't want a phone on wheels that takes their data and charges us for BS.

Combustion engines and gas and hybrids and maybe hydrogen have a lot of life.

EVs right now r about $.

300k celestique.

What should be more concerning to some than their coworkers WFH arrangement over in the next department is what their corporate and government leaders are bringing to them courtesy of WFMexico, WFChina, WFIndia and ‘plandemic’ lockdowns.

Exactly! Too much mixing apples and oranges. What the anti WFH'er is describing is performance related issues as opposed to geographic. It's still not clear what bringing them back to the physical office accomplishes- perhaps them not being able to pawn their need to be there duties on those who are there maybe. Performance issues need to be dealt with whether in person or not and Ford has ALWAYS struggled with that. WFH only magnifies the problem.

Hey WFH haters. WFH was brought to us courtesy of Covid and the lockdowns. Technology being what it is, ‘some’ jobs lend themselves to WFH more than others. The genie is now out of the bottle and WFH is same productivity -maybe even more. Don't hate the player…

https://smallbusiness.chron.com/constitutes-work-day-salaried-employee-18816.html

Anti work from home ranter you forget what it means to be salary(if you are) and the work from home policy. Salary gets paid a certain amount on a fixed time period for 0 to 40 or more hours. Employer can’t change the dollar amount due to work hour quantity. You salary people forget that as well. You are not hourly…I’ll see you at Costco!

Definition of Salaried Employees
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) applies certain criteria to its definition of salaried employment. Eligible employees must receive a specified and fixed amount of pay for their work during a weekly or longer pay period. With certain exceptions, an employer cannot change this amount due to a difference in the quantity of the employee's work.

The DOL requires employers to pay the specified amount every pay period for exempt salaried employees, regardless of how many hours or days the employees work. When an employee is available and ready to work, the employer cannot reduce the regular payment, unless no work is available. However, the employer can reduce the pay for unauthorized absences, such as sick leave or personal days not covered in the salary contract.

What's with the weird WFH envy? Certain jobs were not given a choice. They can't come back to the office. Someone needs a beer or meds or something.

We have some bitter person on here who is in a function that requires being in Dearborn, who expresses resentment of those WFH. If you are so dissatisfied with your assignment then quit. Some functions can be done remotely, some cannot. Yes, those positions done remotely could be outsourced anywhere. That is true whether they make a regular appearance in Dearborn or not. Or, the person doing the job does it well and there is no need to replace them.

There's a reason that upper management are all in the offices at minimum Tuesday - Thursday. They were told, so your face, badge in, go to collaboration spaces, do your time, and you'll have a chance. To those working from home, refusing to come into Dearborn & offloading your work onto those who are there, they know you are doing this. They can see your logins, where they're from, how often you log in or badge in, they can even see where your iphone is at, they know. They know if you are inattentive during normal business hours and scramble to get stuff "done" earlier in the morning or later in the evening and night so that you can have the day to do whatever you want. When your badge doesn't work for buildings because you haven't been in the office for over 2 years now, that's not funny, it's not cute, you're taking advantage of the situation and realistically your saying that your job can be done from Anywhere on the planet. So keep telling yourself that you don't need to come in, you can do everything from home, when realistically stuff you would have done like physically handle and observe parts, being hands on, support testing, have quick conversations in passing are all being shoved off to others who are there taking over your responsibilities. Why pay your wages when they can pay another person elsewhere for less than half. I'm tired of this entitled mentality everyone has about working from home.

@hkp

You don't have the stones to talk a fraction of the garbage to someone's face as you do here. Facts.

It amazes that it's always the WFH vs. Non WFH all the live long day. I have news for you. If you don't do work in a WHF setting, you probably didn't do work at work. There are many of us who are very reachable all the time in the form of IM's, email, impromptu calls, etc. If we go to Cotsco, we might make up for it on a Sat or Sun because many of us have deadlines, deliverables, etc. In short our work matters and we're responsible for a lot with more and more every day. So I'm tired of being labeled a loafer, slacker, you name it because of my status.

Does it make a difference if somebody comes into the office 1-2x per month vs. never? Really? So that gives them an advantage in the who stays and who goes? Really again?? It still blows my mind on who survived the 2019 SRD when we were all in the office together. Heh?

No one thought a full vehicle virtual model model would run on VPN. when we realized mechanical work can be done virtually, then would anyone pay engineers here in the US. But at the same time if you send work offshore who will buy your products.Let’s see. The lucky loafers and slackers be ready. Count your days.

Bangkok 96 fun is enough. Get back from that costco trip (wfh) and stop faking "got take care of kids" when you are not willing to come to dearborn, but willing to stroll in Traverse city downtown (for bagel time).

Some of you know who you are . Come to physical location and then lets talk

After layoffs go and have “me” time rather than doing that on company time.

Have some mercy on co-workers spouses too! Some just got the kids up and out and are looking forward to a few good years of "me" time, certainly not retirement!

Many of you guys still have the 2008 layoff mindset. That is in the past. Working hard used to be the best way to secure the employment.

After 2019, it is all about new management and new layoff approach. It matters most if you are in the friends and family plan. The rest is FYI-only. Do you yard work, go shopping, etc. if you know that you are a participant of the friends and family plan.

This is a very sickening situation. But it is fact and the living examples can be found not far away from you.

Get ready for the cuts! A lot of employees are feel entitled. They abuse test vehicles, do yard work on company time, etc . All those loafers shall be cut.
