'Our talented people are our most powerful asset"? The message was as incoherent as it was tone-deaf. Empty sophistry about transforming and winning in this moment is both hurtful and untruthful. The worked with what we had and got RIF'd. But the meat grinder continues.

You're absolutely correct
We need to do everything we can to reduce our payroll. From my perspective (HR)... no sense in wasting money a premium workforce. We have a meeting this week... I'll be sure to bring this up.
Without the best of the best leadership making solid, long term strategic decisions that make Verizon better than our competition then having the best employees really doesn’t matter…at all.
Meaningless statements are all this leadership group has.
