Why would Ford walk you out when you give them a 2 week notice??? Doesn’t that mean you will be leaving in 2 weeks from they say you tell them?

It gets more complicated if you bought vacation days. You typically pay for them with every paycheck just like you accrue vacation days.
You start using your purchased days after all your accrued days are used up. You don’t get refunded so best to take them all.
The woke mindset got rid of timekeeping. Maybe the lions can do away with keeping score too.
It appears that when you get your vacation pay varies. I was out with SRD and I received vacation pay the next month. It was two weeks pay as that is what I had accrued and had used none. Someone else posted here that they got the two weeks but didn’t receive it until the following year. SRD was in May and it’s August now so, depending on when the cuts happen, you could accrue more.
From what I experienced after SRD I would expect them to deduct from severance if you used more vacation than was accrued. I kept getting bills from Ford that I was required to pay before I could receive severance. One example… I was rear-ended at a red light in my management lease vehicle not long before I was tapped. When I reported the accident I was told I wouldn’t have to pay the deductible as I was 0% at fault and had a police report stating that. They’d get the deductible from the other person’s insurance. Nope, after SRD they billed me and didn’t respond to questions about reimbursement after getting their deductible from the other insurance.
If you are cut watch your bank statements closely. When I worked I was the only person on my medical insurance and said I didn’t want COBRA. They would periodically, and without warning, deduct COBRA from my account for a family! It was a pain to debate with Ford to get that money returned and it took a while to get it. NESC is a delight.
Unused vacation pay shows up the year following layoff. I was SRDed in 2019. I got a check and a W2 for the unused vacation in 2020
If Ford walks you out when you give 2 weeks notice, they typically pay you the 2 weeks
How about 2 weeks notice pay?
This is where you focus is rather than designing and making quality vehicles. That is why FMC needs a deep down purging of slackers.
You accrue vacation throughout the year so you only get paid for earned vacation time at the time of layoff.
