Question for management retirees regarding current and future health care coverage

I'm a management retiree currently on the $4,200 annual stipend. I have Aetna as a provider and am happy with the cost and coverage. I am anticipating that the $4,200 option will not be extended as of the end of 2023. Is there general agreement with that assessment among other retirees or do some think that the $4,200 option will be extended beyond 2023? Even rumors might have some valid insight.

Also, are there any retirees out there who are currently on the UHC option? What is your overall satisfaction with the cost and coverage regarding that option? My view is that the UHC plan is just an expense saving ploy by Stankey since it is my understanding that retirees must pay for Part B monthly premiums out of pocket outside of the UHC plan itself. Have any retirees switched from one plan to the other? What is their experience regarding costs and coverage?

What say you? Any comments would be appreciated regarding your thoughts on the future and/or your current experience with either option.

Looking to Medicare in 2023. My vision is AT&T will have everyone take the UHC Advantage plan and give the $300 for dental/vision. In my zip code, I have an Aetna Advantage plan for zero cost, includes dental and vision, and all my generic dr-gs are no cost to me. Always keep our options open. Navigating the right choice is the worse. What I see is Advantage plans are good for healthy people, however those who see doctors frequently, and have lots of issues, do better with a medigap plan F or G.

Plan on not getting The 4200 and hope they extend it.

All retirees are on borrowed time with any and all health care subsidies currently provided by T. Stankey and Santone are working feveroushly to eliminate all subsidies currently in place. We can all look back and say "I remember when".

I can’t say from personal experience, but I am hearing from most people that have the UHC Advantage plan that they are quite happy with it.

You just know that $4300 payment with HRA is not going to be there beyond next year. Nothing official yet but the writing is on the wall.

On $0 AARP UHC and using the HRA to reimburse Medicare part B. So, the balance is accumulating.

As far as AT&T's plan, there is very good stuff there, if one has a chronic illness. In particular, there is language that suggests a maximum out-of-pocket on prescription costs. But it conflicts with other language.

Healthy, so I don't need that plan. The HRA contains a safeguard - after prescription costs reach $5000, the next $100,000 out of pocket is reimbursed. The prescription costs can bankrupt you just as easily as the medical costs. I see some stuff at $350K a year.

If the HRA goes away, but the AT&T UHC continues, that would be a very interesting offering, particularly if it provides for a Part D cap.
