How busy are you? My team has almost nothing to do and we literally have to pretend that we are doing something. This is worrying and a big red flag.

Even in an out of region state where the growth should keep technicians busy constantly has not come to fruition. The work trickles in, but not in a way you would expect in OOR where management keeps promising lots of work.
Working 60 hr weeks so… lots.
Haven't worked a forty hour week in over a year and a half! More of a part-time job for a full week of pay. The work has just not been available! Most technicians are keeping themselves scarce and out of site because the work just doesn't justify their existence.
Very busy. Any availability on your side to help?
I tell everyone how hard I work and how important AT&T is because we make communication run.
Exceedingly busy, every new customer is a lot of work.
Dilbert cartoon I keep on my monitor:
Wally: If you need me I'll be at my desk pretending to work.
Alice: How long do you think you can get away with that?
Wally: I wondered the same thing for the first fifteen years or so.
Wireless in the PNW has no real work all busy work to look busy.
Layoffs are definitely in your forecast
Dang, buddy. No one's here to listen to your gripes from 1997. You realize that's 25 years ago?
Out of region is not THAT busy, usually only one order per day per technician which takes about 2-4 hours and then the rest of the day is wide open. Some techs are busy all day, but others don't have enough work to keep them busy for more than 15- 20 hours per week. The good thing is no layoffs in the forecast!
Stankey is just waiting until pension lump sums become a lot lower because of FED interest rate hikes - then BANG - just you wait. Just my opinion but a lot of people will be unemployed with a lot less pension $ in early 2023.
I transferred as an AM to engineering in 1997 and within the week everyone was called into a meeting with Gary Kitchens who stated that work load was zilch and that the executive team was looking at rightsizing levels and ohhhhh, "He's not a hatchet man". 2 months later SBC was begging for new employees."
The new and improved at&t is the blind leading the blind. Have a Powerful Day!
Well then quit and save the company money.
The budget bill that just passed targets large business (tax) and will expedite the downsizing.
pretty busy out of region, we were hoping to get more new hires :(
I'm not on a team.
Teams are a joke and corporate speak.
I have a job. Never joined a team.
I'm in it for me.
We also have no work, so we drive around all day and look busy to the GPS gods.
We read, do crossword puzzles.
Park by huts near restaurants.
Play games on our personal devices.
But it's not my job to find work, rather do it when they provide it.
$42 an hour for this.
what a great job.
I have about 2 hours of work to do a day. And I’m stuck in an office, not allowed to work from home. About to go insane.
No bragging, most would rather be busy working.
Nothing to worry about. For years folks have been bragging on this site there is no work to do.
You are not alone. Almost all workgroups are begging for work. Leadership continues to believe the work is coming, but starting to doubt them.
