Manager says I'm getting a change to my IAM Functional Role. No other information provided. What is this and should I be concerned?

Zero to worry about. The functional role just controls what kind of access you can get.
However, you may lose some access you had before the role was changed so watch out for things that might stop working. You won’t be able to get the access back if it was dependent on the functional role.
