Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Congratulations Phillipines

Management has been going to the Phillipines to train our replacements in u/w and ccs for the past couple of months. Expect a clean sweep of our areas. Congrats Phil. This veteran employee will miss his contacts made but will NOT miss the constant changing of policies and procedures. And managers? Quit hanging around each other's desks and gossiping. We can hear you.

Do we know if anyone in Manilla were let go, Chase should share the pain with the people who took our jobs away.

How would the customers feel that it was another country working their loans and had access to their personal information. They would be pi---d! But it’s the best kept secret 🤫

These cr-p loans will go to foreclosure eventually because they aren't completed correctly. You don't know how many escrow I had to fix as a CDA right before my loan went out the door because they sent all the Title Analyst work to Phil. They literally send everything there. I worked in Lit and they are shoving my job there. Hired people off of the street with no mortgage experience or legal background at all. I have 20 years in mortgage. 11 years in default. If chase could outsource our cafeteria to the Phil they would. They take every job and send it there and the only positions in the US they post are "analyst" positions and up so they can keep their management positions and lay off the people who really sustained the cleanup of the bad loans and mortgage booms. Disgusting practices.

When do the Tempe mortgage employees getting laid off in September. I see comments saying Sept 15th and Sept 29th. I also heard severance pay is two weeks of pay for every year of service, What happens with pensions, 401’s, Chase stock and medical? I wish someone could answer these questions, I am worrying so much.

We hired a whopping 2,976 H1-B just in 2022.

Imagine if we actually give these jobs to American year after year.
It just feels that the govt wants us to outsource

Come to think of it I did see ccs assistant. Maybe that's what they'll be doing? Maybe getting docs and sending them to the UW in status 21?

Phil's ccs are currently in training. Any loans they have, we wouldn't know about them.

I think we are shooting the messenger. Phil isn't too blame for our loss. I just don't see how it will work though. Customers are going to have a fit.

Phil already has nmls numbers. It's not restricted to United States. We thought of that too at first. They already received their numbers. Would have been nice.

Phil can't have ccs since you have to have an NMLS to speak with customers

Will they be outsourcing the CCS role to Manila as well? I think all the UWs on my current loans are Manila-based, but haven't heard about any CCSs there.

Heard the week of Sep 21 will be layoffs for CCS, UW and sales. This is true for overseas, year end Chase will be hiring another 100 CCS to do simple functions and to collect TI's from customers

Don't even get me started on PHL. They are the absolute worse workers of all time. They are extremely lazy and too literal and REFUSE TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!! They will go in and make changes without asking and as a CDA, constantly having to fix their mess ups or when it is something they have messed up on, they refuse to take ownership and say they can't help. Now they are learning purchases!? I mean good luck with having those loans done correctly!

we have a prod support team in PHL and they are terrible and lazy. The amount of times i have to go back and fix all their 'fixes' waste of our time.

As a uw I had to rework many loans that couldn’t be competed by the phil. They have zero communications skills so im not sure how they can even compete. They were all handed the easiest loans which would have been even worked faster by those in the USA and would have been a good mental break from trash files.

I laughed when reading communications Head of x-x, Phil.... Quite comical to see all the clowns work together and deliver the childish corporate make believe shows.

The Philippines are a joke. Everytime I see work they do it's sloppy, poor written (to customers) and not correct. Good luck Chase if you are counting on this for your future. You will have to buy back loans and horrible internal and external customer service. You get what you pay for!

The workers in the Philippines are cheap labor, their written English is horrific as I see it every day. They are rude when you get an email from them. When they started using them to give us a 'lift' in production, I just laughed. Yes, the 'lift' is out of the building and to the unemployment office. The person who started this just sits and smiles in meetings.
