Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why are some convinced that there will be no cuts?

I hope for the best, but I still wouldn't be so sure that there won't be any cuts. As far as I've noticed, the arguments given by those who think there won't be are mostly based on promises coming from top dogs. Who still believes in such promises... I certainly don't.

“Exiting businesses” could involve layoffs or M&A deals. We will see.

Market demand is cratering, core product development is stalling, the CEO actively wants to exit more businesses…. if layoffs don’t happen, it’s only because Pat’s ego won’t allow it. Putting his fiduciary duty’s to Intel shareholders first, layoffs should be a no-brainer.

Because Pat dafuq is CEO. He is religious guy and doesn't believe in layoff.
