Put away the tin foil hats. In Charlie we Trust.
@ufa+1iBlpPku People have been saying it on this site for years.
theyre using your location for relo strategy weather news has nothing to do with it gonna F employees they hired full time remote
I’m not on the call but the question I have is that if they have access to all of this data and are truly tracking people on an individual level, how are they going to make decisions based on it? Nothing else at this bank runs efficiently or logically so I would be surprised if they used that data any time soon.
That location icon is also used by Outlook to update location for weather etc. A browser or some other software might have location services turned on too.
I'm not saying that it's not spyware, it could be that too. But that icon alone shouldn't cause alarm.
I thought that icon was Target's Cartwheel app updating my weekly deals.
That's nice.
Is that icon not an indicator in Windows 10 that it's grabbing your location?
The icon that shows up looks like a bull’s-eye. It only appears for a couple of seconds.
Looks like a little bullseye. Will popup and disappear
It's in the task tray (right bottom part of the task bar). It looks like a bullseye target.
What is the icon that we should look for to know when it's running on our machine?
I assume the bank is tracking activity on our company laptops. What's going to happen when we're using personal devices on the virtual network?
My location is being queried a lot today. I see the icon on my computer show. Big brother is watching.
Maybe I am an id--t but I didn’t know they tracked idle time, locked time and what amount of time we spend in each program .. gave the “it isn’t micromanaging” speech (unless there are outlier’s). Q&A was a bunch of people annoyed.
What are they saying?
