Intel is building fabs for customers that will never use Intel. Potential customers will have to consider…
- lagging technology with no credible way to catch up
- mistrust due to giving preference for internal designs
- mistrust due to lack of execution
- much better run and funded foundry alternatives like Samsung, TSMC non-leading edge nodes
Also, the semi shortage will turn into a glut as demand wanes. Demand was pulled forward by the pandemic and supply chain issues which will resolve in time.
