Managers attending RTO training

Hearing that managers are attending training to help get their team back to
The office for required days if hybrid!
Also hearing that it’s a hot button issues of senior management and that report tracking is based on swipes onto floor where your group is located - swiping into building is not enough! So please remember to swipe onto entry onto your floor even if someone holds door for (best practice anyway?)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'll bet my 1% bonus that the training is done remotely.

Haha yep.
Reminds me of when CS removed work from home from everybody but then was pushing us all to do telehealth calls with the company doctor.

I enjoy the morning glazes. A nice little sugar rush.

Companies would ki-l to get a break on city taxes. How misinformed.

What is truly sad is this has very little to do with collaboration or whatever bs they want to say. It's all financial. Companies will lose their city tax breaks as other industries in the cities are losing revenue by having employees based at home that is the real reason to force everyone back. It was on the local news.

If “hybrid” BUT too many middle and senior executive managers got themselves Based at Home, BAH! Just look up in mysource how many of them are BAH! And even if they aren’t bah, nobody is really tracking their office attendance. END BAH if you are going to force RTO and track employees. Be fair Mr. Vince and end BAH for ALL executive and senior managers BEFORE you require hourly and low salaried employees to RTO! Fairness and Equity! Shouldn’t this be part of DEI that HR keeps talking about?

"So please remember to swipe onto entry onto your floor even if someone holds door for"

I worked in a couple of floors at 240 G and all I had to do was swiping my card at one of the turnstiles in the lobby. Has anything changed? Last time I went to 240G was early Jan 2020.

This thread pretty much says it all about middle management talent. Indecision, not disorganized, not talking to one another as a group, not confident in their goals let alone a plan. This group couldn’t organize a picnic.

This will likely go on like this for many years and different people will have different accommodations.

Help the new H1b acclimate to the new work location. Many work ungodly hours and are homesick. Often times they will respond to a firm presence as uncertainty creates stress. Many will accept glazes without prompting .

We hired a lot of remote people that live in states where we don’t have offices. What do we do about those people? This is like CS all over again with RTO.

Only Mellon 3 has water coolers because the lead pipes make the water unsafe.

Why would you swipe into the building but not your floor?

You have to swipe at the turnstile to get into the building but if 4 of you get off the elevator together only 1 is going to swipe to open the door.

I heard they’re stopping the practice of hiring new people as remote because of all the uproar. Also heard managers are going to be having conversations with the employees that have a remote work agreement to entice them to come in …. What a sh*t show.

My department can’t find replacements for all the people leaving.

I’m going the bare minimum. I’m sick of this place , mgt, their politics, & their propaganda.

I'm putting in my notice on Monday; already cleaned my desk out. People dropping like flies in my dept; going to be hard for them to get people back in the office when people don't actually work there anymore

Remember, frequent the "water cooler" often, whatever that is.
