You can say that about anything.
Quantities matter.
How MUCH investment?
How LONG until we recover costs?
Is there line of sight to profitability?
What are the opportunity costs of pursuing GPU? Could those resources get deployed better somewhere else?

GPU market is glutted to the point that even Nvidia and AMD will struggle. It's a bad time for a newcomer that can't even execute.
I always thought it was stupid of Intel to tease the release of a discrete GPU almost 4 years ago. The team should've built a feasible product first before creating hype for it.

Pat answered this question only a couple of weeks back. Graphics is something he thinks deserves longer term investment. It will take time to reach the leaders.

Frankly why Rja is still in company he should take responsibility and resign for the big failure.
The leak was from the executive level. If you are also at the executive level, you are in a position to refute this. If you aren't at the executive level, you wouldn't be in a position to know, as it's not like the claim is that the decision has been announced and implemented already.

Maybe Raja doesn't know that Intel is bleeding cash and the BoD can't fund his escapades any longer?
Shareholders run the company - not Raja. You may be in for a rude awakening.
