CREDO: Is this the worst initiative ever?

Had CREDO training and saw it’s officially live. I’m at a US manufacturing site and I’m curious if anyone anywhere finds it useful or a positive for better utilization of peoples time? The mood where I work is overwhelmingly negative. 0/5 stars would not recommend.

Except you have to and you have no choice.

Specify was a hideous waste of money and the IT Program Manager for GP is one of the worst people in EMIT

CREDO is not replacing Specify, sorry folks. It’s an equipment strategy platform in the downstream to replace PESTRA and GRT and it’s awful. Just like every other software platform our company releases.

Upstream MPT here. Are you sh1tting me? We have yet another cr---y IT system to replace cr---y SPECIFY?? Unbelievable. You'd think searching for basic documents is brain surgery

Typical. We constantly change from one cr---y system to the next. People have to have something to put on their accomplishments list. Just like document control constantly changes their software.

Ahh OK, credo replaces specify? Specify was so bad I never used it, sounds like it is going to be retired before I even started using it 😁

We’ve been using it but I haven’t heard any comments about efficiency or anything else. Just complaints when it’s not working

In reality, all the latin aside, it's a combination of Crudo (raw meats or rudeness) and Friendo. We all know what 'friendo' means, right?

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/credo.asp

Credo is a Latin word, which the Oxford English Dictionary defines as "a statement of the beliefs or aims which guide someone's actions."

In the corporate world, a credo is similar to a company's mission statement, its beliefs, principles, or purpose. A company's website likely will contain a prominently displayed mission statement, along with the firm's goals and objectives.

In the best possible world, a company would use its credo to guide its actions.

ExxonMobil Creed / Mission Statement: All corporate staff reductions since 2019 was due to individual performance not a layoff.
