Taking control of your life out of the hands of psychotic management, requires incredible courage.

What on earth are you babbling about? Y'all a bunch of Primadonnas in the UK or what? You don't like your boss, just leave. No incredible courage required you know. Just a mail or a phone call.

“ What's better? People you think have low IQ or cowards?”

People who are good enough to have control of their own careers are not “cowards” - they are just smarter - with higher IQ - than the rest of the precipitates that continue to get kicked around and grow algae at Cisco. Taking control of your life out of the hands of psychotic management, requires incredible courage. The best bets for the leftovers are to be trolls and to live in a fantasy Star Wars land where the rebellion lives and dies for “freedom”. Better professionals don’t need to waste time and energy trying to be a rebel, they can always find something better, somewhere else and leave the toxic wasteland. That’s where the IQ level comes in. There’s a big wide world out there outside of Cisco with way more oxygen on offer. The day you realise that, is the day you will be truly liberated.

The entire ELT has been quiet quitting for the last several years. The only difference is that you take home peanuts while they take home fat paychecks for doing bare minimum work.

“ Quit whining and rebel against that leadership already! If y'all pull together, you can have a hierarchy change.”

Here comes another genius who thinks Star Wars is reality. No wonder Cisco is in such a state with this sort of IQ levels on payroll !

Going up against the psychotic SE management in UK in a rebellion is not worth the effort, time and energy. Far easier to find a new position, internally or externally, and move, which is what some are doing.

'In UK, the Force of fiefdom is strong and this is the scenario. '

Here we go again with the UK. Quit whining and rebel against that leadership already! If y'all pull together, you can have a hierarchy change.

Boomers need the job for the health benefits. Healthcare is too damn expensive in the US. Plus, nobody is gonna hire a boomer. If I was a boomer, I would relocate to Europe or Canada where healthcare is free.

@1jed+1iHJhfff either you are a paid troll or you don’t know what you are talking about. Encouraging people to “cut down on meetings” ? Really!? Ground reality is totally different. Some groups, for example , sales, are reeling with massive exodus building up. The SEMs and SEDs are struggling to find people to take the work load and are dumping twice as much work ( sometimes more) on remaining people without a second thought.

It’s all very well for the ELT to ask people to “breathe” at company webinars, but it’s a totally different story to actually monitor if that is happening across the board. In UK, the Force of fiefdom is strong and this is the scenario. People are being dumped with way more work than they can actually handle and they are quitting or moving internally. The only answer management has is to “delegate” the work among others citing “efficiency “. On an average you have close to 6-7 hrs of WebEx calls a day and then, after that, you need time and energy to do your actual work. So if the remaining people don’t do “quiet quitting” then when do they “breathe”?

Can we quit using that ridiculous expression already? Look, Cisco is actively encouraging employees to take care of themselves. We're told to cut down on meetings, follow wellbeing programs, breathe in some fresh air and what not. Where do y'all see Cisco asking everybody to put in crazy hours?

I see more real quitting now. I think the new plan is to drive attrition with no raises - rather than LR/severance packages.
