Despite everything, I was hoping that this would be a good quarter. Now I read that Wall Street is slashing earnings expectations. Not good.

Unfortunately USD appreciated so much vs other currencies, that in order to impress Wall St you need to show spectacular results. That is impossible with the consumer sentiment we have, zero-Covid policy in China, continuing issues with port congestions, and inventory build-up.

Unfortunately Nike was downgraded today - I would love to see earnings much better than expected but I’m not holding my breath.
I guess we’ll find out. Nike usually tends to do better than Wall Street expects. Wall Street analysts have been following Nike a long time but I still get a sense that most of them don’t deeply understand the company.
